The 2008 CNCCU Scholarship Awards...
Como Northtown Community Credit Union has established an annual scholarship fund to promote educational opportunities for its members. The scholarship is administered and awarded by CNCCU for members. This year $5,500 will be awarded to CNCCU applicants. You may win up to a $1,000 scholarship!

The Marshall Isabel Memorial Public Service Scholarship... 
In 2005, a special scholarship was created by the Board of Directors to honor Marshall Isabel Jr, a former longtime Board member. This scholarship will be awarded annually to applicants based upon not only their essay, but on their commitment to community service.  The winners names will be listed on a memorial plaque that will be displayed in the credit union lobby.

Eligibility: Applicant must be a CNCCU member in good standing. Applicant must be a student at, or planning to attend a post-secondary educational institution.

To apply: Submit your completed application along with a 500-word essay. This year’s topic is: "To what extent should economic planning be influenced by the need of environmental conservation." Your application must be received by February 28, 2008

Applicants will be judged on their application and essay, with an emphasis on community service. The scholarship will be based on merit rather than need. A Selection Committee made up of CNCCU staff and board members will choose the scholarship recipients.

All applications and essays become the property of CNCCU upon submission.  CNCCU reserves the right to use the recipient's name and any essay or part of an essay in promotional materials.
